Korea is one of the dream destination of everyone. These days filipinos are avid fan of KDrama and Kpop, those are just few reason why almost everyone wants to visit Korea. This country is open for tourist but for Filipinos you need to apply for Tourist Visa and that would take sometime and if you're still saving for your travel needs, you don't need to worry because Philippines have a Korean Restaurants that offers variety of Korean Food and let dress up yourselves with hanbook (a traditional attires that worn by Koreans)

Jong Lo Korean Restaurant is the Korean restaurant I'm talking about and it is located in Malate, Manila just two blocks away from Robinson's Manila.  The restaurant is establish since 2002 and it is open 24/7. Jong Lo is not that big but it has 2 floors and the traditional dresses is located at the second floor. Hanbook is FREE to use if you consumed 350 pesos per head, in our case 350 times six persons. Don't worry because you're free to choose what do you want to order just make sure that your total bill is equivalent to 350 per person.

The food is good and they have big servings! I'll rate it 9/10 for my overall experience!

South StrEAT Container Park is located along Tagaytay – Sta.Rosa road. It’s the newest food park in South (it opened last February) and I heard that a food park is soon to open also in Tagaytay (not really sure though). It’s a perfect side trip/food trip for those travelling in Tagaytay or even in Nuvali.

bigger space for parking

It has 20 food stalls that have different categories of foods depending on what you want. We went there by 5:00pm and its not yet crowded but the problem is the tables and chairs are wet because of the rain so we had no choice but to be seated beside the container that sells Malaysian food. We ordered their “best” seller for group that cost around 700 pesos including (2 rice bowls and 2 viands) My friends said that it taste like pares and chicken curry.

The Malaysian food that we ordered in Malay Ko

Whenever I look at that churros I still remember the funniest thing that happened that night. My bestfriend ordered churros for 160 pesos and he was shocked when ate gave him 1 piece churros. We told him that maybe it was ate's fault and that's not for him. Then my usisero boyfriend went to Xurerria before we go home to check their menu and he saw that 1 piece churros only cost 55 pesos and the one that my bestfriend ordered has 5 or 6 pieces. Lol!

 South strEAT at night :)

Isdaan is owned by the Ongpauco's which also managed the Barrio Fiesta that serves filipino foods. The restaurant is just 1 hour away from Cavite by taking the SLEX Road. It is also easy to find because of the gigantic mermaids statue placed outside the entrance that you can notice along the road of Calauan. You can feel the Thailand vibes at Isdaan because it’s not just your typical restaurant but its structure makes the place more unique.

They have nipa huts that can accommodate 4-6 persons but they even have a place for big groups. The food is so good and it has a unique names. You must try their Lechon Tinupig! It was the best roasted chicken that I had. While having your lunch/dinner the singers will serenade you. You can also tour around the restaurant by riding a boat with a 20 pesos tip for the ‘bangkero’ If you want to watch performers such as bands and acrobats make sure to visit Isdaan on weekend but I suggest that you should arrive in Isdaan as early as 10 or 11am because the place is jam-packed if you arrive late & you’ll be waiting for about an hour.

FOODS!!!

There are a lot of fun activities at Isdaan aside from boat riding. They have this place where you can throw and smash the plates and mugs at the wall and shout your problem. Aside from mugs and plates there are also TV ( 2,000 pesos ) and clocks ( 120 pesos ) and you’ll shout Tacsiyapo which means “shame on you!” in Kapampangan.
